LINDA LINDA!

(A review of Linda Linda Linda)I'm not gonna lie and say this movie was fracking amazing because in all frankness it really wasn't that spectacular (except for the very end). There's alot of scenes of people just sitting there doing nothing. Or at least many scenes that don't drive the plot forward. It's just about a bunch of high school girls that get together and play at their school festival. But what does separate this movie from the rest is it's frankness in it's depictions of the girls. They actually look and act like REAL high school girls. Plus it helps that the songs they choose to play are famous in Japan (by the Blue Hearts) and I can see why. They are just very catchy songs. If you don't have the chorus of Linda Linda stuck in your head by the time the movie's over then you must have lost all humanity in a blazing fire of mass mayhem. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Princess Tutu, Vol. 1: Marchen review

(A review of Princess Tutu, Vol. 1: Marchen)So there's a Duck, who turns to a girl, who turns to Princess Tutu so she can save the Prince who has no heart by getting all his heart shards... or something like that. There's a cat teacher who wishes to marry incompetent students and an anteater. And alot of ballet. I'm not sure what Ranma 1/2 has to do with it other than the whole girl turning into a duck thing but it's pretty out there. But cute. If you just accept the weirdness and just let you play out you won't be disappointed unless you have no heart or something like that. 0 comments, Reply to this entry
Ballet Anime???

(A review of Princess Tutu, Vol. 6: Abschied)Seriously, if you aren't watching Princess Tutu, then what are you doing with your life? It started out a little weird and it ended with a really big bang, like stars colliding and stuff, only with ballet. Plus the music is amazing, but that's a given since all the music, minus the OP and ENDING, is taken from ballets, operas, and the like. A satisfying and conclusive ending leaves you wanting more yet you know it ends there. Don't push it aside because of its cute appearance. There's something in it even for the most manly of men. I mean going en pointe and wearing tights TAKES ALOT OF BALLS. 1 comments, Reply to this entry
